This programme covers the following:
- Primary labour legislation that impacts on a business unit
- Implementation and management of HR and labour relations policies and acts
On successful completion the learner will be able to:
- Identify appropriate employment legislation
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Labour Relations Act
- Explain the LRA in respect of interviews
- Explain the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Employment Equity Act
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Skills Development/Skills Development Levies Act
- Develop and maintain HR policies and practices
- Draught job descriptions, employment contracts and convene recruitment and selection panels
- Implement disciplinary policies, actions and hearings
- Develop and monitor disciplinary policies and procedures
- Establish performance evaluation committees and manage the performance evaluation process
- Participate in the implementation of labour legislation
