INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SKILLS
AIM OF THE MODULE
The aim of the module is to equip learners with the basic skills and knowledge required to operate a computer. During the training, learners will improve their computer literacy by gaining an understanding of computer terminology, hardware and software and the use of a desk top computer
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of this module the learner will be able to:
- Install a personal computer
- Describe word processing
- Work with basic computer documents
- Format basic computer text
- Print a document
- Capture data in a basic spreadsheet
- Use the world wide web and email
