AIM OF THE MODULE:
This module investigates the importance of ethical values and integrity as qualities of successful leaders. The link between management and leadership is outlined and the influence of a leader on organizational culture is explained. The role of a leader is further explored in relation to the managing of people and the development of teams.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
On completion of this module the learner will be able to:
- Explain the concepts of leadership
- Differentiate between leadership and management
- Use leadership techniques to improve group dynamics
- Apply the principles of leadership to achieve objectives
