MORAL REGENERATION
AIM OF THE MODULE
This module introduces the learner to the principles of moral regeneration and basic business ethics in a work environment. The pillars of morality, different types of justice and the philosophy of Ubuntu are discussed while business ethics and ethical dilemmas in the workplace are explored. In conclusion, the problem solving process is introduced in the context of dealing with unethical behaviour.
LEARNING OUTCOMESOn completion of this module the learner will be able to:
- Reflect on own values and belief systems
- Discuss how values and beliefs influence own behaviour
- Discuss how the ethics of an individual impacts on other people
- Explain how an individual can behave ethically in a business context
- Deal with situations where own values conflict with work practices
