OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

AIM OF THE MODULE

To provide the learner with the necessary skills to be able to recognise and report hazards in the workplace. The learner will be able to follow occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to work undertaken in the workplace in order to ensure own safety and that of others. The learner will be able to follow workplace procedures relevant to controlling risk in the workplace.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completion of this module the learner will be able to:

• Respond to emergencies
• Make use of workplace procedures to identify risk
• Recognise and report on hazards in the workplace
• Raise occupational health and safety issues.
• Contribute to the management of health and safety in the workplace
